As a mental health counselor and a clinical hypnotherapist, I specialize in an integrative mind-body approach to health, personal empowerment and overall well-being. With hypnotherapy, we are addressing the potential unconscious ideas, beliefs, and emotions that often limit the client from achieving optimal health outcomes, personal goals or potentials.
To get started, call or email me to set up a 20-minute consultation, free of charge, in order to find out how I can be of help to you.
What to Expect In A Session
Each private hypnotherapy session lasts approximately 50 minutes. For the first 30 minutes, we will discuss your concerns and create an action plan or strategy. This portion of the session is very important as the necessary foundations are put in place in order for the subconscious mind to accept the suggestions while in hypnosis. At this point, I will invite you to sit in the reclining chair where I will guide you for the remaining 20 minutes through the state of hypnosis. This typically involves exercises in progressive relaxation and guided imagery. You may expect to awaken with a greater sense of peace, comfort and well-being.
Private hypnotherapy sessions are available for you virtually from the comfort of your home. Many people wonder how hypnosis is possible virtually. The truth is that it is equally effective, if not more than in-person.
What you will need:
- A reliable internet connection
- Access to your preferred virtual platform (Phone calls, FaceTime and Zoom are available).
- An uninterrupted, quiet space where you can find a semi-reclined position and completely relax.
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state that we all encounter in our lives. You transition into this state when you find yourself engrossed in a great movie and experience visceral responses in the body and emotional changes in the mind. Or, when you find yourself off in a daydream and then click back into the moment and wonder “where did I just drift off to!” Hypnosis is what I call a “consent state.” When the mind is quieted and the emotions calmed, we can achieve a state of mind in which the critical thinking can relax and thoughts and ideas that are in line with what you know is in your best interest can be accepted into the unconscious mind and the old learned conditioning can begin to change. There really is no question IF you can be hypnotized. The only question is can we use hypnosis as a tool to therapeutically to help you. And I passionately believe that answer is YES!
